I am a behavioral ecologist in the Biology Department at Bowdoin College. Research in my lab examines animal decision-making and how it is influenced by perception, learning, social learning, and memory. My research is conducted predominantly at the Bowdoin Scientific Station on Kent Island where I work with undergraduate students. My current research program focuses on flower-visiting insects and how their sensory systems and cognition influence plant-pollinator insects, and parental allocation decisions in a small seabird species, the Leach’s storm-petrel.
